ABAT Exam Secrets Study Guide                            ABAT Exam Flashcard Study System

The ABAT exam is the American Board of Applied Toxicology Certification Examination and is designed and administered by the American Board of Applied Toxicology.  This exam tests your knowledge of topics related to toxicology including information about different drugs, illnesses and disorders caused by air pollution or exposure to chemicals, effects of radiation, analysis of toxins, and other similar areas.

The exam has two parts.  Each part is taken on a separate day.  The first part of the exam has four toxicology situations and requires that the test taker write a series of sat explaining the best way to assess the problem treat the patient and handle issues that might arise.

The second part of the exam has 100 to 150 multiple choice questions related to the following areas:

  • Drugs
  • Chemicals
  • Toxicology
  • Biologicals
  • Environmental and occupational risks
  • General history, treatment, and other toxicology-related information

You have 5 1/2 hours to complete the ABAT exam.
